Shopify has a battle proven checkout page optimized for high conversion. There are some configurations that should be taken into account to ensure smooth operation.Configure checkout settings in Admin > Settings > Checkout in your Shopify admin.
Enable address autocomplete so customers get live suggestions as they type their address. The user can select a suggestion or decide to type their address themselves.
Enable Address autocompletion in your Shopify checkout settings significantly reduces delivery issues caused by an incorrect address.
Under Admin > Settings > Checkout > Advanced preferences> Address collection, enable the setting Allow shipping and billing address to be different. This lets customers specify a separate delivery address from their billing address, which is common for gift orders or business purchases.
Enable Allow shipping and billing address to be different so customers can ship to an address that differs from their billing address.
Under Admin > Settings > Checkout > Customer information , configure the following fields to match your business model:

Recommendation
Full name
Require first and last name — all carriers require the full name of the recipient.

Optional if you sell to both consumers and businesses (B2B and B2C). Required if you only sell B2B. Don’t include if you only sell B2C.
Company VAT number
Optional if you sell to both consumers and businesses (B2B and B2C). Required if you only sell B2B. Don’t include if you only sell B2C.
Address line 2 (apartment, unit, etc.)

Scandinavian addresses typically don’t use state or province fields. Shopify handles this automatically based on the selected country.
Configure shipping methods in Admin > Settings > Shipping and delivery .We recommend offering customers both home delivery and pickup point delivery at checkout. This gives customers flexibility while keeping your shipping setup straightforward. If a customer enters a business address (with a company name) as the shipping address, you should hide the home delivery option and show a commercial delivery option instead. Commercial deliveries are typically handled differently by carriers and may have different pricing. Configure this under Admin > Settings > Shipping and delivery > Shipping customizations .
Pickup point delivery lets customers choose a nearby service point where they can collect their parcel. This is a popular delivery option in Scandinavia. To set up pickup point delivery, configure it in the Smart Send app. See the pickup points setup guide for step-by-step instructions.
