Smart Send is compatible with WooCommerce Subscriptions , the first-party subscription plugin by Woo. Subscription products work alongside Smart Send without any extra configuration.

How it works

WooCommerce Subscriptions creates a new order in WooCommerce each time a subscription renews. Renewal orders behave like regular orders, which means Smart Send can book shipments and generate labels for them in the same way as any other order.
  • Initial orders are processed as standard WooCommerce orders
  • Renewal orders are generated automatically on the renewal schedule
  • Each renewal is shipped individually using your normal Smart Send workflow
For subscription stores we recommend the same setup as any other WooCommerce store:
  • Configure your shipping methods so they apply to both initial and renewal orders
  • Use bulk label generation to process renewal orders efficiently on shipping days
  • Keep address details up to date — customers can update their shipping address from their account, and the latest address is used for the next renewal
Subscription renewal orders typically arrive in batches on the renewal date. Generate labels in bulk to save time when processing the day’s renewals.
