Create labels for multiple orders at once:
  1. Go to WooCommerce > Orders
  2. Select up to 5 orders using the checkboxes
  3. Choose “Generate labels” from the bulk actions dropdown
  4. Click Apply to process the orders
You can select up to 5 orders at a time for bulk label generation.

Single order label creation

Create a label for a specific order:
  1. Open the order you want to create a label for
  2. Find the Smart Send logistics box in the order details
  3. Click “Generate label”
  4. Review and print the generated label

Label generation process

When you create a shipping label:
  1. Smart Send processes the order using the configured shipping method
  2. Carrier booking is made automatically
  3. PDF label is generated ready for printing
  4. Tracking information is added to the order
  5. Customer notification is sent (if enabled)

Label information

Each shipping label includes:
  • Carrier information (Bring, PostNord, etc.)
  • Tracking number for shipment tracking
  • Delivery address from the order
  • Return address from your Smart Send settings
  • Package details (weight, dimensions)
  • Service type (standard, express, pickup point, etc.)

Printing labels

After generating a label:
  1. PDF opens automatically in your browser
  2. Review the label for accuracy
  3. Print the label using your standard printer
  4. Attach to package for shipping
Make sure you have the correct label size for your printer. Most carriers accept standard 4x6 inch labels.

  • Tracking numbers are added to the WooCommerce order
  • Customers receive tracking notifications automatically
  • Labels can be re-printed from your Smart Send dashboard if needed

  • Order status may be updated automatically
  • Tracking information is stored in the order
  • Customer notifications are sent (if configured)
  • Fulfillment status is updated in WooCommerce

Troubleshooting

Can’t create shipping labels

Common issues:
  • Shipping method not configured - Ensure rates are properly linked to Smart Send methods
  • Carrier connection issues - Verify your carrier is connected in Smart Send
  • Incomplete order information - Check that shipping address is complete and valid
  • API token issues - Verify your Smart Send connection is working

Labels print incorrectly

Solutions:
  • Check label size - Ensure you’re using the correct label dimensions
  • Update printer drivers - Make sure your printer drivers are up to date
  • Check print settings - Verify scaling and orientation settings
  • Try different browser - Some browsers handle PDF printing differently

Bulk actions not working

Solutions:
  • Check order selection - Ensure orders are properly selected
  • Verify order status - Some orders might not be eligible for label creation
  • Check plugin status - Ensure the Smart Send plugin is active
  • Review error messages - Look for specific error details in the admin

Best practices

Label creation workflow

  1. Process orders in batches - Don’t try to create too many labels at once
  2. Verify order details - Check addresses and package information before creating labels
  3. Print immediately - Generate and print labels when you’re ready to ship
  4. Update order status - Mark orders as fulfilled after printing labels

Quality control

  • Review labels before printing - Check for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify tracking numbers - Ensure tracking information is properly added
  • Test with small batches - Start with a few orders to verify everything works
  • Keep records - Maintain records of created labels for reference
