Surcharge fees
Missing, delayed or incorrect EDI
PostNord charges a surcharge fee called “Missing, delayed or incorrect EDI” when shipment data is not transmitted electronically or is received late or incorrectly.
This fee does not affect Smart Send customers. When you book shipments through Smart Send, the EDI data is sent directly to PostNord at the time of booking.
If this fee appears on your PostNord invoice, contact PostNord and ask them to credit it. We have seen this happen for completely new customers that start producing labels just hours after their PostNord account was created.
Customs fees
Entry of customs information per parcel
When you provide customs information during booking via Smart Send, PostNord does not charge the “Entry of customs information per parcel” fee. This fee only applies when customs data is missing and PostNord has to enter it manually.
Export declaration
Similarly, there is no “Export declaration” fee when customs information is provided during booking via Smart Send. By including the required customs details at the time of booking, the export declaration is generated automatically.
